With so many “unknowns” that come with the COVID virus, a plan was developed for the 1st-7th grade students that allows them to work remotely at home through Christmas while coming in for face to face instruction on a rotating schedule, if desired.
The program, called Virtues in Practice, was written by the Dominican Sisters of Nashville Tennessee. It is set up in a way that children of all ages groups study the same virtue each month to provide a whole-family focus. This year, we will cover 9 virtues, with this year being the YEAR OF FAITH.
The year of faith focuses on Catholic devotions and the idea that “faith works”, with an emphasis on service projects.
At home curriculum includes:
This is a back-to-basics program that will bring each family together in faith and strengthen the domestic church at home.
Children and Youth Faith Formation
Our children’s faith formation programs (1st - 7th grade) works in partnership with parents to help form children along their faith journey. It is important that parents understand their primary vocation as catechists to their children as defined by the Catholic Church. Children first experience their Catholic faith at home with their family. Our children's Faith Formation Program is here to assist you.
Our goal with 6th - 12th-grade students is to guide & help young people learn what it means to follow Jesus Christ and to live as his disciples today, empowering them to serve others and to work toward a world built on the vision and values of the reign of God. As was proclaimed in the homily in Denver (1993) at World Youth Day.
As a baptized member of the Church, Jesus Christ calls you to follow in his footsteps and make a difference in the world today. You can make a difference! . . .
In the words of the Holy Father: "Offer your youthful energies and your talents to building a civilization of Christian love . . .
commit yourself to the struggle for justice, solidarity, and peace"
Adult Faith Formation
Our programs for adult Faith formation aims to help the faithful (ages 19 and up) to grow in both human and Christian maturity, enriching the whole of life with the leaven of the Gospel. We strive to promote goals and content that will embrace all the faith dimensions of an adult life—for example, understanding and communicating the faith, skills needed for personal growth, the experience of family life, relationships, public service, and concern for the common good.
